Matt Steel is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his dynamic and eclectic musical style. Born and raised in the UK, Steel began playing the piano at a young age and quickly developed a passion for music.
His career in the music industry has been shaped by his twin disciplines as both a performer and a writer/producer. His work as a session musician has taken him touring throughout the world working with an unusually diverse range of artists as both a recording and live performer. Taking in venues such as Wembley Stadium and The Apollo, Harlem, along with television shows such as Top of the Pops and Fox USA, Matt has worked with a range of artists including The Brand New Heavies, Finlay Quaye, Shazney Lewis, Swing Out Sister and Swing Dabelle.
At dance label, Jersey St, Matt contributed to a series of acclaimed releases in the fields of house, soul and electronica which led to them selling over 150,000 records world-wide and him working for some of the most respected dance music labels in the world.
